YES I WENT TO THE GYNECOLOGIST FOR THIS ! THEY SAID THT I WAS COMPLETELY FINE AND THEY PRESCRIBED ME BIRTH CONTROL PILL WHICH R VERY VERY LITTLE ! :) And awesome ! and it never did it to me again ! Ur ok go get bc !

In my first year of my period I was heavy and it would last for long periods. Now that I'm in regular cycle AF can last anywhere from 4-7 days.

My first period lasted for 23 days. Turned out I had very low iron & was anemic. My dr said I could of died if I waited any longer to come in, due to how low my white blood count was.

Everyone has different cycle lengths and even different lengths throughout their lives. I've always been a heavier bleeder. In high school I would sometimes have periods that would last for 2 weeks. When I was on the pill, I would bleed for the full week. Now that I'm a little older and have gotten back to my natural cycle, it lasts 5-7 days.

Everyone is different. :-/
