How early can you take prenatals?

So i got my results and my proof of pregnancy and i asked should i take prenatals and she said no not until i come back (dec 11) im 2 weeks they said. How long did you wait in till taking prenatals

Most doctors recommend starting prenatals 3 months to a year BEFORE you get pregnant! It's extremely vital to development that you get enough nutrients, especially folic acid. Honestly, I would consider switching doctors over this. Maybe that seems rash, but as a nutritionist and knowing how important the first few weeks are, I can't imagine waiting that long!

My doc told me to start taking prenatal right away and this was before I got pregnant and now I am 3 weeks and 5 days and I am taking prenatals! You need to switch doctors! I don't know any doctor who would tell there patient to wait until there first ultrasound to take prenatals

Don't let some of these comments scare you. I didn't take prenatals, until 8 or 9 weeks with my first maybe later. I didn't find out till I was 7 weeks with her and she's perfectly fine.

This one I had been taking them for a few weeks ONLY because prenatals have all the vitamins you need in them 😊

Asap! I don't understand why your doctor told you that. Our daughter was stillborn in July and we made it very clear we were going to try again as soon as possible and I was told to just stay on my prenatals until and during my next pregnancy. I've been taking them since I was pregnant with my daughter, didn't stop after she passed and still taking them today at 5 weeks and 2 days pregnant!
