Baby Dropping?

So I've noticed that my belly is starting to drop and I'm only 34 weeks pregnant. FTM here - so not sure what that means. Everyone I hear who drops has their baby soon after. Anyone know or have experience?

Dropping doesn't mean labor .. doesn't even mean it's close. But be happy you can breath a little better 🙃

my belly dropped at 28 weeks and he's been head down my entire pregnancy but the doctor doesn't seem concerned about him coming early :)

My baby boy dropped at 34 weeks.... currently 36 weeks and I was checked today and i am not dilated at all... even lost part of my mucus plug on the 24th and yesterday.
