No Job and Depressed !,

I'm so upset and stressed out. My baby is 2 months old and I was supposed to go back to work after 6 weeks maternity leave , when I tried going back to work it was a bit hard because I was advised that I was terminated by mistake because I didn't properly fill out my maternity papers so they told me that they will be working on it but I've been home for 2 months now money is going low and I feel like they're giving me the runaround I'm so depressed. I'm scared that they terminated me and they're just not letting me know so I won't get unemployment. Any advice? Can they do this?
