Never Ending Labor

I have been in early labor since about 6am 11/01.. so I am now going on 29 hours of painful contractions lasting a minute, coming every 5 minutes. We went to the hospital last night and since I was only 1cm dilated and 70% effaced they turned me back home. Have been crying, taking baths, and can only eat bread because I'm so nauseous from these contractions and exhausted because I can't sleep through them. I just want an epidural and something to make these contractions more effective but the midwives at my hospital won't budge. I'm a ftm so they say this is normal but I really can't take it anymore.. I just want some kind of relief 😩🙏 Will be going back soon to get checked again.. but something tells me I still will not have progressed much. 😞
