Is school dress code too strict?

A girl in my French class got sent home because her shirt was "too tight". She has pretty big breasts, but there was no cleavage showing, but it did outline her curves. We're they right to do this or not?

You're teaching her her education isn't as important as how she's viewed by other people. If you have big boobs you have big boobs, nothing can be done about that.

I got sent home and suspended in middle school because my principal said my "jeans were too tight" and it made people look at me. And I refused to change into my gym clothes. Which were shorts mind you. 🙄

They care more about how girls dress rather than how boys dress. The dress code is more towards girls because it distracts boys. I remember how we weren't able to wear yoga pants due to showing to much yet boys were able to wear pants where you are able to see the shape of their junk. Like girls don't get distracted by that.

I'm gonna say no because my school dress code wasn't that strict. Shorts had to be the length of your finger tips, and tank top straps had to be 2 fingers wide. I think to cover the bra strap. & guys couldn't have their jeans sagging. But yeah that was it, and when you consider how it's preparing you to dress professionally for a job in the future, it's not bad. To make someone change because their clothes are tight? Yeah that's dumb.

I'll bet that a guy could wear a form fitting shirt, like a compression shirt or one of those dry wick shirts that fit the guys pretty tight, and no one would say a damn thing.

Also, I can bet money no one would say anything if the girl wasn't curvy.

In my opinion, unless your genitals or tits are showing, wear what you want. Wear a crop top. Wear short shorts. It's fuckin hot in Florida and I don't want to be forced to wear pants BC my legs are longer than normal so a pair of knee pants on one person is short shorts on me. 
Wear whatever color hair you want. Do what you want with your face. 
Just pay attention in school and do well. Dragging kids out of class ( mostly girls ) for "inappropriate" clothing is more disruptive than the clothing itself.

For my son's dress code, it isn't strict enough. They have uniforms, cool. Saves me from having to search for clothes everyday. But actually enforce your dress code. Just yesterday, I saw a little girl from his class then maybe a second or third grader wearing shorts or skirts so short, their butts were hanging out. It isn't hard to find something appropriate for them.
