what's going on? lol

I'm on day 39 of my cycle, I took a test on day 35, three days after AF was supposed to come and it was negative. Should I test again? I had light bleeding a week before AF was due, very light and only when I wiped, it was pink and then the next day it was brown but again only when I wiped and it was once. I don't know what's going on.
