Am I ridiculous for wanting my boyfriend to propose?

We're both totally broke and in college but I can't help but want him to propose because I KNOW he's the one. We've been friends for years and we finally started dating and it's been around 7 months since he asked me out. He says he wants to wait until he can give me an expensive ring but I literally don't even care about the ring. It could be $30 and I would be happy with it. I feel like I'm totally ridiculous and I appreciate where he's coming from but I know he's the one and I want to be engaged. So am I being stupid orrrr am I completely valid in this?

I understand the feeling, but why rush? And tbh, 7 months?? That seems to be a little premature if you ask me. I'd say just hang on, because he will ask when he's ready. I'm sure he knows you're the one too, just have an open conversation about why not now, or reasons to wait. If he's the one, he isn't going anywhere. I know it's not what you want to hear, but I promise he'll ask. Just takes time.

I know where y'all are coming from, but I've had plenty of relationships before, some good and most of them bad, and I know what I like and what I want and it's him and like, when you know you know. And no, not pregnant, just love him and I think the whole "man HAS to be the provider and man HAS to do everything(including proposing)" is just super outdated y'know? It's cute and nice but if I want something shouldn't I at least try to get it? I dunno man, just good for thought.

P.S. He moved in with me awhile back due to his dad and we've already passed the cupcake phase and the hate each other phase. Once he moved in we were so irritated with each other all the time but we're over that now lol.

I think it's totally normal for you to feel this way. Everyone gets in that phase of the relationship were we want to take it further but I do feel y'all should wait. If y'all are both broke and finishing yalls education then waiting is best. It might not be the expensive ring persay he want to give you but he wants to be able to give you a good life like a husband should. Trust me if he loves you and you love him you won't have to worry he will ask when the time comes 💕

A man doesn't feel like a man unless he's a provider. Do not propose to him you might as well tear his man parts off. A mans ego and pride would kill him. Why the rush are you pregnant and want to beat the clock before the kid comes? Everything happens in time. Don't force things. Let him do things In His time when he is ready. Don't rob him of his opportunity to propose some day. He wants to be in a better position. If you are both broke he probably wants to save up for a place to live. A wedding. A ring. He wants to give you everything that he feels you deserve and are worthy of.  Let him be your Prince Charming. Be patient.
