Spotting/bleeding 8 weekd

So I started spotting very light pink a few days ago. Then it got heavier. But it's brown. I went to the doctor today and they took blood and the doctor said basically to take it easy. I've gone through a miscarriage before and I've gone through some heavy heavy bleeding in the first trimester and gave birth to a healthy baby. I'm so overwhelmed with emotions I didn't even go back to work. Anyone experience the same? I just wish I knew if I was miscarry miscarrying or not. I hate not knowing. 😕
