Back labor??

Question

I've never had back labor, anyone care to explain where the pain comes from or what it's like. My backs killing me and I had a membrane sweep today. Wondering if it's anything to do with labor??

It feels exactly like contractions but they're in your back and radiate forward. It doesn't just feel like a back ache.

For me it was also more painful than "front" labor

I could be wrong, but I think in my birthing class they said bac labor was due to the baby being "sunny side up" meaning that baby was facing the front instead of the back.

For me, it felt like my pelvis and legs were being pulled off my spine. It was the worst pain I've ever felt. I envisioned a lot of ocean waves to get me through labor.

It just felt like a really bad really annoying backache. I didnt know i was having it until they hooked me to the machine. I literally just thought my back was hurting

Got my membranes swept today and I've been having back pain too. No contractions though. 😔

I had back labor the whole time!! I never felt a contraction in my belly - I just felt them in my back. It felt like a lot of pressure in my back and that I had to poop. It really sucked!!! But after I got the epidural I didn't feel one contraction so that's good :)

Oh you will know if it's back labor. It's like having a cramp in your back.
