Not period or sex related but idk where else to ask this... (long question, sorry!)

Hi ladies, I am in a bit of a pickle here...2 years ago I worked at a department store and was talked into discounting something for another employee (my friend at the time) and management found out and fired and arrested me and her both for theft (along with 8 other employees for doing the same I guess) it was a stupid moment in my life and I regret every part of it. I was charged with "theft" and had to pay a fine and what not, but my lawyer unfortunately couldn't get my charges reduced so it still says I was charged with theft. I recently had a job interview and they did a background check on me and they never got back to me. (on the app I did not put that I have been convicted of any crimes) I called them and asked the person working to have the manager call me but I have gotten no response. Just yesterday I got 2 interviews with 2 different places for next week. Both are in the financial industry. Niether application said anything about being convicted with any crimes, but they both said I would have to fill out paperwork when I got there, so I'm assuming it'll be on that. Should I tell them about it, or do you think I would be better off not saying anything? What sucks is I am a very trustworthy person, I have never physically stolen anything in my life, just got in with the wrong crowd at my old job...and now I have moved out and need to find something better paying so I can pay my bills! If you have ever experienced anything like this PLEASE respond with how you went about it. Thanks!!!
