advice please!!

Today is November 3rd. My last period I had was August 24-30th. I've taken one test so far and I couldn't tell if it was VVLP or BFN ... anyways today I started feeling a little crampy so I went to the bathroom and I had light spotting that was pinkish brown ... (tmi sorry) ... It's been a few hours since the spotting and I have not spotted anything else or started bleeding...

Do you think the bleeding is a sign my period is coming? Or what?
