Period Problems

I started my period on October 24th, and I'm not sure if it is still going. I don't need a pad, but every time I "wipe", blood comes out. I don't know if it is my period still, or what it is. I just started on birth control the same day I started my period. Has anyone had the same problem? I need advice/answers.
