Period after miscarriage?

Idk whats going on with my body. Basically I'm wondering if it's possible to start a period before your hcg is down to 5 or less?

My hcg was in the 50s October 13th and I started bleeding again Oct 23rd (about 4 weeks after miscarriage finished). I called my nurse and asked if it was my period and she said it was possible assuming my hcg was down but she seemed to think it was here pretty quickly. 2 days ago November 1st I had my hcg done again and it was 17. I'm still spotting (day 11 of what I thought was my period) it's so annoying how this all drags out. Any advice or experience is helpful. Thx.
