Am I Out?

I know this sounds silly but it's exactly seven days until my expected period. I woke up at 6 a.m. and used a First Response Early Result with FMU and it was stark negative. Should I just consider myself out this month? I see lots of people at 6 DPO and on with these same tests getting faint positives so.. If mine is negative, is it pretty much a sure thing I'm just not? 😭😔
