climax? orgasm?

How do you know you're about to climax or orgasm? Are they the same thing? I know this might sound dumb, and I feel like I'm the only one with this problem... but everyone says it's supposed to feel "so great" sending a tingling sensation through your body...  but it doesn't seem to be as great as ladies make it out to be, I've mastubated and have had sex... but it just feels 'good' but never feels like I've reached a great sensation but have tried messing around for what the longest time was around an hour!!! Have I climaxed before but just didn't know I did cause I thought it'd be more? How do I orgasm? I want to be able to and be able to experience it with my boyfriend, of course I'm screaming through sex because it does feel incredible, but is that it? Is that as good of a feeling as it gets?
