Relationship advice?

Ok so I come from a background where we are not allowed to date anyone until we get engaged!? Sounds crazy I know but I never really cared about it I always thought the person who I  am destined to be with will find his way to me! So good news I am getting engaged within a few weeks I finally met someone! However I don't know how to approach this man... I've never had a conversation with a man or been alone in a room with one! How do I go on with this! I had a few male school friends but they were just school friends? Any suggestions.... I'm kinda dealing out about being too boring
