Ftm, early planning?

Okay so, I got my BFP this morning and used multiple apps for predicting my due date (because I haven't made my doctor's appointment yet) and I'm around 5 weeks. I'm a ftm and I was just curious if now is too early to be planning and buying stuff for baby. Lol

I started researching and working on my registry at 8 weeks LOL. You may want to hold off on buying things for a few reasons. You're going to be pregnant for a while, if you're going to want to buy things the entire time. You also may have a shower towards the end of your pregnancy and you don't want to buy too much but you may end up getting for free. The last and hardest but also honest reason to wait at least a few weeks  is that you should probably wait until you're out of the risk zone. Wait till you hear the heartbeat and know that baby is there

My first time around I didn't buy anything except a pair of shoes for my Son until 20+ weeks. I was superstitious... But it's a long process you will be baking for 40 weeks so if you start to do everything now. You might not have anything else to do later.

With this one I have to wait until we confirm gender. But I'm mentally preparing and screenshotting and setting up carts for my wants for both genders cause I'm only 13 weeks and on disability and bored

I started shopping at 10w when we found out it was a boy and now at 23w i have the nursery done and everything he needs. Our baby shower gifts will be extras. Its never too soon lol im still buying.

I bought a couple small things out of excitement when i found out I was pregnant with my first. After that I slowly accumulated things between 25-40 weeks. Didn't get the nursery put together until about 32 weeks. With this pregnancy I'm 14 weeks and haven't bought anything. We won't even set up a nursery until the baby needs one..:around 5 months when he/she sleeps in a crib. It's less exciting the second time around haha so enjoy your first everything with this baby!

I didn't buy anything until about 16 weeks because I didn't want have to get rid of a reminder if something had happened.
