My fave is problematic
My best friend always finds things wrong with movies.
Literally always.
My boyfriend and I went out last night to see Doctor Strange and I went in with low expectations (because of the white washing). When I came out I was genuinely surprised at how happy I was with it. I think my happiness came from the fact that it was super accurate to Strange and was funny and mind-blowingly gorgeous.
But my best friend just kept going on and on about how I shouldn't support it because of the white washing and the fact that Benedict Cumberbatch is ableist.
And it just kind of pissed me off because this always fucking happens no matter what. They just can't accept the fact that the movie was good despite the flaws it has and they haven't even seen it yet!
Sorry for this rant I just needed to get it out. 😝
