csection mommas - excessive gas

I had a csection on oct 27th and delivered a beautiful healthy baby boy. However since then, I have had the worst gas pains. It's so bad it feels like someone is stabbing me in my stomach. After I had my first bowel movement (that took 6 days) I felt much better but last night it was out of control again. I tried using gasx as that helped previously but no luck this time. Is anyone else having these kinds of issues and how are you dealing with them? It's so bad that my husband is taking over full time baby duty just so I can rest and kick the pain. I feel so awful doing that to him :(
