nursery?

I live in a 2 bedroom apartment with my husband. I'm expecting my first baby. Our current spare bedroom is a guest bedroom with a queen size bed for our friends and parents to stay in when they visit. We're planning on moving when the baby is 6 months old. Do I really need to have a nursery or can I keep the baby in my bedroom until we move? It'll be nice to have the spare bedroom for when our parents visit us from out of town.
