SMEP - Question?

Just curious...I know they say that every other day BD is the best for TTC. Gives sperm time to build up and pretty much be filled (for lack of better word lol) with sperm at all times to wait for the egg. So then why with SMEP method does it say to BD 3 days in a row when you get a + opk?? 🤔 that part confuses me. Like why don't you still BD every other day? If the sperm needs 24 hrs to build up and say you don't ovulate for like 36 hrs after your + opk. So if you're BD 3 days in a row wouldn't by the 2nd and 3rd day the sperm count would be lower right as you're about to ovulate?
