Explain your answer. This is an interesting topic to me and I wanna know why people choose to stay & why they choose to leave when cheated on

Well I wish you wouldve given a third option of "depends" because it does depend for me. If I was just dating someone and they cheated then buh-bye. But if my husband cheated and then confessed and said he genuinely wanted to work on our marriage and save us I would probably stay and fight for our relationship. But if continued to cheat and what not then it would be different. I don't think it's always black and white. I think there can be a lot of gray especially when it comes to loving someone.

My ex emotionally cheated on me. In love with another girl, I was just a second choice and I dropped him so fast. Why the hell would you put effort into someone that doesn't put effort into you? If you don't like me then I don't like you.

My ex was always sneaky and 'up to something'. There were so many red flags, but every time I would confront him he would deny it and act like I was crazy and wrong. This went on for 13 1/2 years. One night at the grocery store I made a point of watching him enter his pin code and thought to myself I bet he uses the same code for his iPad. The next morning after he left for work I grabbed his iPad, sure enough, same code. He had some 'secret' email addresses that were all synced up on the iPad. It was awful, the most graphic emails, that left no doubt that he cheated, A LOT. I sent him a text letting him know I knew and that he needed to get the fuck out of my house that day. I think the exact text was, 'tranny hookers...you've got to be kidding me. You need to get the fuck out of my house today.' It was some real jerry Springer shit, I couldn't believe it. I wanted to be married and have kids, he didn't. I sacrificed so much time and what I wanted in life for someone that wasn't even loyal to me. He was out the same day. There was no part of me that was interested in 'fixing' that relationship. 6 mos later I met my now husband. We were engaged and married all in 16 mos. He couldn't be more different and is the love of my life. We just had our 1st daughter 2 weeks before our 1st wedding anniversary. It's never too late to start over and know your worth.

My ex (first love, together for five years) cheated on me with one of my closest friends for almost six months. It wasn't even the fact that he slept with someone else that hurt me as much as the lying and deceit. I knew I would never be able to fully trust him after that and breaking up was the best thing I've ever done for myself. It's been a year since all of this came to light and I am now with an amazing, kind, loving man who treats me better than I could ask for.

Long story short my fiancé cheated on me and I wanted to stay and fix things as did he, but I guess he loved that girl so much he ended up leaving me for her.

So it all depends on the person, but I wouldn't ever want to stay again with someone who cheated on me.

He was my first love at 17 and took my virginity. I was convinced he would change because I loved him so much.  We were together 2 years and he cheated the entire time. I didn't find out until the last year months.
