Baby's Born!
Baby's born! And holy shit was it the hardest thing I've ever done. We went in for a check up at 2:00, got scheduled to come back at 8 that evening to be induced (NST came back saying little man was under some stress. We were 40 + 3). Started cervadil at 9 PM on Thursday. Checked back at 9 AM Friday, I was at 2.5 cm. Doctors thought my body was making good progress on its own so we held off on the pitocin for a while. Noon rolls around and I'm at a 3. We started the pitocin, and it helped but it took foreeeeeever. I finally gave in and got an epidural. Doctor broke my water. I was ruptured for 18 hours, meaning my water was broken but baby was still holding on in there. FINALLY, on Saturday at around 1:30, I tell my doctor I feel pressure like I have to poop. I was shaking and pushing involuntarily. I had gone into transition. Around 3:00 we started pushing. Around 2:45, my epidural had worn off without us realizing it. I felt EVERYTHING. Luckily we only pushed for a short while, and little man came into the world at 3:25 on Saturday. I was in the hospital for 45 hours trying to have this baby, but Oliver James is just so perfect I'd say it was more than worth the effort.
