What did yours feel like. This is my first time and I don't quite know what to be looking for other than knowing it hurts?

Not always painful, mine felt like mild period cramps until doctors broke my waters but that is very rare

Depends, feels like period cramps and sometimes it makes your back hurt.. I get them a lot its more annoying now

Mine was all in my back, it felt a bit like really bad period cramps but it would go into my lower back and tighten up really bad, part of that was where my son was positioned and the fact that he was stuck on my pelvis though.

I didn't know I was in labor until my water broke so the beginning ones weren't bad, just crampy. About a half hr after my water broke it was so intense I couldn't speak just had to close my eyes and take deep breaths till it passed. But I think it's a little different for everyone.

Had them from being dehydrated and really sick. I went to sleep feeling crampy and sore, like round ligament pain to me but then it got so bad I woke up from sleep. It was on and off regularly, pain in my abdomen and around to my back. I would just stand still holding my breath, until I got fluids from the hospital.

I had back labor so I felt all of mine in my back. Not to scare you.. but it literally felt like I had 2 people, one on each side of me, trying to rip my back in half. It was really painful, but I made it through unmedicated.

Many different stages of it.  At 1st they aren't that bad.  When I was told to start pushing, they became painful.  Even with the epidural. Felt like getting kicked in the tummy. But everyone is different.  Just keep breathing.

At first they felt like mild period type cramping and lower back pain. Then the worst period cramps you've ever felt plus searing pain that wraps around your back to front and your whole midsection locks up.
