Is anyone else terrified? More so those who haven't had their first scan yet? I'll be 12 weeks on Thursday and have my first scan on Friday. I've only had one midwife appointment and haven't heard the heartbeat or anything else yet. I'm terrified for Friday, my so and myself have wanted this for so long and it just seems too good to be true and we don't want anything to go wrong 😩 I had a bit of spotting around 5 weeks and midwife said that was totally normal and just implantation bleeding, it lasted 2 days and was only when I wiped, since then nothing! I think most of this is because I'm a worrier anyway and always expect the worst to happen 😏 just wondered if anyone else has felt this way x

I only had one scan.. at 20 weeks. My Dr did let me hear heartbeat at 12 weeks. This is my first and that's standard.

I'm terrified! I'm a worrier anyway and this has just made me worry 10x as bad!
I keep googling symptoms which I know not stupid. Today I've had bad neausea and the shakes and pain in the shoulders and when you Google then it shows eptopic pregnancy!!! My first midwife apt isn't until next Friday and then it'll be another 4 weeks until my scan! Xx

I feel the same as you!! I had an internal scan at 7 weeks and heard the heartbeat and all was well, I'll be 10 weeks in a couple of days and have to wait u til 25 November til our 12 week scan and I'm scared too

Absolutely!
It took 10 years for us for our miracle, and all through the pregnancy, especially on appointment days I was beyond scared and nervous that they would tell me that it was a dream and I wasn't really pregnant. Even seeing him on the scans was hard to comprehend that it was actually my belly and baby on the screen and not some random video. He is nearly 4 months old now and I still haven't got my head around the fact that he is ours and we don't have to give him back. 
Enjoy your pregnancy, it will be over before you know it. 
Ps the only way that you would have heard the heartbeat this early would be via internal probe scan, it's not easily detectable yet, midwives don't routinely listen to the baby for a while yet. We only heard ours at 7 1/2 weeks because he's an IVF baby, and to 'release us' from the clinic we were given an early scan to confirm the pregnancy etc.

Its ok to worry you will be just fine hun. Your worries will go away when you get to see your little bean in there. My nervousness is me seeing more than one in there tomorrow lol! Already a mama of IDT's.

It's a scary experience but I assure you that having an early scan isn't necessarily a good thing. I had an early scan Friday and was told they can't see baby. Only the sac. I have to wait two weeks before they will see me again. I think it is best, especially for FTM, to have a later scan. Cause no unnecessary worry. Good luck x

I would be horrified if I had to wait until 12 weeks I got my first scan at 6 weeks.
