Bleeding with good end result? *TMI*

I'm 8 weeks pregnant and experienced a fair amount of bleeding last night with a small clot (6 pieces of toilet paper with bright red blood & toilet water was pink) I went into emerg, did an ultrasound and doctor said fluids/heartbeat looked good for now. My question is, has anyone experienced this and everything turned out ok? I have an appt with an early pregnancy clinic to do further testing and make an action plan, but in the brochure there's all this miscarriage info.. I'm a little nervous. Thanks guys!
