My hips are "wide" for my size... but my pelvis still wasn't big enough to accommodate my LO's head without vacuum assistance... so I would say No.

I think it all depends. There is a chemical our bodies produce to make our hips spread. Some women don't produce that chemical and end up needing a c section. I have babies with ease and yes I'm a bigger woman lol my husbands ex is tiny and couldn't deliver vaginally...all were c section but I don't think that can be said for every tiny female.

Yes, I supposed beacuse if your hips are too narrow some have to get c-secs.

Not at all. I am a very slim person and my hips aren't considered wide. I did not have to have a c-section. I don't think that's how it works

My SIL was 90lbs and had very narrow hips her first doctor told her 100% she would need a C-section and she changed doctors and she delivered her 11lb 9oz, 22inch baby boy 100% naturally in 2 PRACTICE pushes with no tearing.

It's not about how wide your hips are but the opening within the pelvis (sorry, not great with anatomy so I don't remember the name of it). The woman teaching my birthing class said a woman could have teeny tiny hips and still give birth to an average sized baby. You have hormones that will help open your hips up and your doctor will know whether or not your baby will fit through that opening

It's not about how wide your hips are side to side, it's the pelvic opening that decides if the baby's head can make it through-the space behind your pubis bone-the one in the front by your coochie.. I don't have wide hips by any means but delivered both my girls naturally with no problems.
