Illegal to develop naked baby pictures at a store?

So my MIL told me that if I take naked pictures of my baby and go print them off at Walmart or wherever that that's considered child porn and I could get arrested for that.

My baby has yet to make his appearance but I would like to take cute little naked butt pictures of him when he gets here and whatnot. I'd definitely like to get them printed on something that's not printer paper at my house.

I live in the US. Has anyone else heard if this is illegal or not?

I mean they come out of the womb naked... If you're the parent, it's your child, and they're not sexual in nature... No problem there. You change that babies diaper, you obviously see them naked. Haha.

I worked at CVS as the photo lab supervisor, the only reason we call the police is if there is an adult doing inappropriate things to a child. I developed baby butt pictures all the time ! I've seen wayyyy worse! Print those pictures honey, you'll be fine!

Don't you have those self service machines where you pop your phone or USB in and print them off there and then?

Use a cvs to print, you pick the prints on the computer and pick them up from the machine yourself. Easiest way to do it if you're concerned.

Just go to wherever you would get them from and ask their policy. It's not uncommon to have baby butt pictures, but it's better to be safe. If they won't, just go buy some picture paper to print them at home.

That's ridiculous. I think if they are clear genital shots or sexually posed, that's clearly up to the technician to report it. But nobody is going to report cute little baby bum pics. Your mil is being a little paranoid.

They will develop just about anything regarding babies & even adult nudity as long as it doesn't contain penetration

The guy at my walgreens told me once they will develop anything for very young babies, as long as it isn't obviously shady or anything, and then after they are a bit older (someone said 1 on here so maybe that's the specific policy!) no genitals, only butts! Nobody will think you are trying to produce child porn, though, if you are legitimately a parent trying to develop photos of your child, they may just have to turn you away due to their own policies (employees have access to the pictures they develop, so those laws are a lot to protect you and your child).

I used to work at the photo through target back in the day. I've seen little kid butt pictures but the only way it's illegal is if someone reports it. You can tell what's child porn and what's not. You should be fine.

If the child is over a year it can be considered child porn..under a year your fine every body prints naked baby photos
