He is too clingy

My boyfriend is way too clingy and I'm a person who likes my alone time. We have been together for 2 years. Now he tells me I don't give him enough attention, but I really don't want to give him any more because I already feel trapped. When I hang out with people from school (which is rare) he gets super jealous. I feel like we need a break. How am I supposed to solve this?
