Pregnancy announcement

Sapphire
Has anyone else not yet announced your pregnancy?
I'm nearly 24 weeks now and I still haven't announced it, my close family and friends know, but no one else does. I keep meaning to and I do want to, just haven't had the time. I've bought my daughter a top to wear saying I'm going to be a big sister, just need to talk the photo.

People are excited to share their news. I don't think there's anywrong with annouceing your pregnancy. My fb is full of people I enjoy sharing life events with. Since so many are spread out across the country. If it's not your style, don't do it.

No one said anything is wrong with it. Some of us just don't share on social media like that.

I don't see why being pregnant needs to be announced, personally. I tell people if I meet them or it comes up in a conversation,  but there's not gonna be any big Thing on facebook

I haven't announced it and don't plan to. Our family and close friends know because we have shared our good news with them in person, but neither my husband or I cares to tell the world as a whole.

I didn't announce to most people until I was 20 weeks. My close friends and parents knew but that was it.

I haven't really done an announcement but people who matter know. People who see me know. People I have on snapchat know 😅. On FB, I had a photo of me and my son and I tagged my bump as baby (I had a flowy dress on though) some people picked it up. It's not a secret but I just didn't get around to doing an official announcement and I'm almost 24 weeks so feels kind of late now

that's what I feel. I sorta still want to as I'd bought things to do it, plus you can't really see I'm pregnant. unless I've eaten lol plus there's a million of my 'friends' who are pregnant and I want to join in :)

My husband and I don't do Facebook and I personally do not get the whole "announcing" thing, it is a new phenomenon like gender reveals. We have just told people as we have gone along, the old fashioned way I guess.

When you say "announce" you mean social media? In that case, no. I tell people when it makes sense and the rest can see for themselves. I don't feel a need to make a grand announcement to people I barely interact with in real life.

We have told family and close friends, basically people who matter most, but other than that I don't plan to make a big announcement on social media or anything. I just don't think it's necessary and I feel weird even just thinking about doing it. My Facebook is full of old college friends and people who I have worked with once or twice, whom I haven't had a conversation with in years. I wouldn't care if they knew or didn't know about my pregnancy, and I bet a lot of them would feel the same way. So I'm going about it the old fashioned way, telling the people who are actually involved in my life and the rest will just find out whenever.

We haven't yet either. I'm almost 22 weeks. We're thinking Thanksgiving we will.
