Whats wrong with my baby?!

Why is my son not happy with sitting in anything like swing, bouncers, crib playpen, activity mats, and rock n play thing. All he wants to do is be held and cry all afternoon. People say you can't spoil a baby and I call bullshit. I know babies need cuddles and love and he gets it all day being held. He's only 2 months and is fighting his sleep. Idk how to make him be happy in anything and not cry all afternoon being held or not

There is nothing wrong with your baby and your two month old isn't spoiled. Babies are learning about the world and growing and changing so much. It's scary to them. Every sensation is new. They are biologically programmed to want to be close to their mom...for survival. They are literally in a stage called "trust versus mistrust". The more you respond to their needs, the more independent and secure they will be later. Your baby is trying to communicate their needs to you, but since they can't talk yet, they cry. It's your job to figure out what the need is and then fufill it. I get that it's exhausting, but this isn't forever. I didn't have a baby so I could continue to live the same life. Please do some research about the cognitive and emotional development of a baby in their first year and the consequences of not responding to your childs needs.

I've changed his formula to soy bc of belly problems and he doesn't really nap a lot here lately the past couple weeks he's really sleepy though but just fights it

Maybe he is overstimulated

Maybe wear him in a wrap for a few hrs that way you can still function without your hands full. Ik it's technically still holding him but maybe he'll sleep and you can put him down.

Maybe you should try swaddling him before you put him to sleep then try to lay him down like that. I do this when my baby girl is fussy and fighting her sleep, It always works for me.

How long is he awake between naps?

I hold my 9 week old daughter all day and she sleeps beside me at night and if I move away to get some space she uses her head to move closer to me, like the nipple crawl. 
Babies need their mom, a lot of babies need their mom all the damn time. It will pass and soon you will miss the snuggles.

He's only 2 months. It will subside! He could be colic? Try changing your diet if you're breastfeeding or changing formula if formula fed. My daughter was the same way at times so we tried a moby wrap and cut out all dairy and it was like night and day!
