Has Anyone Had A Water Birth?. Thinking About Doing It. If So, What Are Your Thoughts On It?

I had a water birth with my first, I liked it and I feel like it made the pushing part easier, I didn't tear. I also felt like it was easier on the eyes for my husband, lol. I just got pregnant again and I'm going to do it again. It was a natural birth so it was hard work, but I would recommend it. :)

It is a beautiful thing. There are many videos on youtube. I believe it is the best option for me and many others. X

Watch some videos- all over YouTube. I'm not ruling it out as it is an option at my birthing center but I will say my cousin did it and swears warm water is nature's epidural

I just read a story about a family that had a water birth & the baby died from listeria poisoning. Something about them putting water in the tub before labor & draining it out. I know this is terrible information that I'm giving so Google for clarity! Otherwise good luck!!

I wanted a water birth with my daughter but didn't have one. Went into hospital to be induced and they said try having a bath when your contractions are bad and see how you feel. The midwife said if you can't handle being a bath during contractions you won't be able to handle a water birth! Worst bath I have ever had! Couldn't get comfortable at all!

I'm planning on having one with this baby. DD was born 15 mins after arrival to the hospital she was almost a bath tub birth at home. Hahaha

I did not have one with either of my kids. Wasnt an option at the hospital I had them at. 😠 But I have seen lots of videos of them and would love one. Touring the hospital in 2 weeks and will ask about it then.

I had a water birth in 2006 with my daughter. She was born at home. We set up a birthing tub.  It was fantastic. Very relaxing.  I had an extremely long and pretty difficult labor with her and the birth tub was very helpful.

I haven't personally, but was considering it with my last. A friend has had 4, and she loves them. She had her 5th in a different position on a bed, because she just felt like she should. Listen to your body. I'm sure it will be great if you end up doing it.
