HELP with Birth Control Pills

I've been engaged since May to my fiancé and moved in together a few weeks after. We've used the pull out method and condoms so far but I'm really just sick of worrying and having to pull out condoms during the moment. I just have never known anyone well enough to talk about birth control pills and how to get it.m and what the whole experience is like. So I don't have insurance first of all. But can I still see a doctor about getting birth control pills and what's the whole process like. From the doctors appointment. What types are there? I've heard of like the seasonal one where you only have like 4 periods but can only certain people get that? And how long after getting and using it can you have unprotected sex?
