Opinionated MIL
We like to send our family pics of our baby girl so they can enjoy watching her grow ☺️ They don't live far, but they are unable to see her as often as they'd like to.
My sister in law will always report to me the things my MIL says about my daughter. Here are just a couple of the things she's said that bothers me:
- Why don't they put her in dresses?
(First of all, it's the colder season & I don't want my one month old getting sick. Second of all, all her dresses are way too big for her. Third, I don't want to spend money buying little dresses she's only going to wear for a couple weeks.
- Everything is cute, but her nose.
(This is coming from a lady who has encouraged my sister in law to get surgery on her nose... good thing she didn't listen. Not that I'm against plastic surgery. But my sister in law was in high school at the time).
I understand she's my baby's grandmother, but I'm her mom. She'll also call my baby her baby. I don't remember you pushing her out of your vagina.
Maybe I'm still hormonal or totally overreacting... but is there anyone one else who can relate? Please no hate or criticism, just looking for someone who is going through similar situations with their family.
