Nightmare came true..

My husband and I have always had problems with my mother and he. They would get back on good terms yada yada. My husbands mother [(refuse to call her My MIL)] has always been two face toward me, so I never payed her any mind.

He and I had a huge fight about a month ago, which she got super involved for no apparent reason. I haven't spoke to her nothing. She decides to text me out of the blue calling me a dumb bitch, saying how I fucked up her sons life. And so on bullshit. I texted my husband and told him to set her straight. Biblically speaking have my back and don't let any one talk bad about me, just as I always do for him.

He went in depression mode for being put in the middle. I honestly never intended for him to be in that position or to feel he has to choose between his mother and I.

I feel horribly wrong but am I wrong for asking him to let her know "hey pls don't disrespect my wife" type of shit?

I did nothing to this woman!
