IBD? crohns?

Ok so I am getting it looked at by doctors but they can't work out what's wrong with me ok so I originally just went to a GP and they got me to do a bunch of tests and it came back as possible Crohn's disease and so we went to a specialist and they got me to do more tests while they treated me for crohns and the treatment was working but all the tests were coming back negative saying no I don't have crohns and this was over the last 6-7 months we are now going to more specialist to see if they have any clue but within the first 2 months before I got medication I lost 15-20 kg I had a low red cell count of 75 and it's meant to be about 150 ish I couldn't keep a lot of food down and when I could I couldn't eat that much I had excruciating lower abdomen pain I am on high doses of pain killers and that really all the main symptoms umm but yea if any of you have had something similar or have a suggestion at to what it could be that would be amazing but like I said I am going to see more doctors in 2 weeks or so but yea thanks

I have ulcerative colitis. Docs first said it was ibs but wants a very good doc so I went to have a second opinion and it turned out to be UC. I've took a lot of different meds in the past and i have only found one that helps. It's called Apriso.

I'm going through something very similar.   doctors suspect I may have crohns disease, my calprotectin levels were extremely high, and are sending me for a Colonoscopy,endoscopy and mri.  I have recently just started ttc but after "googling" all the possible complications I'm worried the game is up before I've even really started.  trying to stay positive. has anyone successfully conceived whilst having a bad flare up?

I've been diagnosed with ulcerative pancolitis my doctor thinks, possibly crohns. Now I'm having to take remicade infusions as I because EXTREMELY ill at one point and I was basically given two options: infusions or surgery; the infusions are almost equivalent to chemotherapy but it's given me my life back. I mentioned we are trying for a baby and he never said it could affect fertility and said he'd have me stop in the third trimester when I do fall pregnant. I'm still scared because it's a heavy duty drug but he wouldn't give me false information so I'll just go with it. You may very well have colitis, it's not as well known as crohns but just as horrendous. Goodluck and don't feel obligated to take the medication, I hated it, especially the steroids but there also comes a point where diet alone can't alleviate the sickness ♡

This happened to me exactly. Got diagnosed with chrohns at age 18. Got prescribed pills but never took them. I went back two months and said I don't have chrohns. I ended having colitis.. I never took their medicine as I heard it hurts your organs and fertility. Just eat healthy. I lost 40 lbs
