Opinion on a four year age gap?

I am almost 17 and he is over 18. Don't worry I'm not even with him, but I am very curious about other people's opinion on age gaps. I see no problem with it for the most part, but I want to know what you all have to say. And yes, I do understand that an adult/minor relationship is not legal (again I am not with him I just want to know what everyone thinks).

Plus, if you guys aren't sexually active, it's not illegal!

I'm seeing a guy that's seven years older than me and things are working out pretty good. Age is really only an issue if you stress about it, I feel (or if you're way underage) 😛

I dont think its about age but moments. People live different moments in life and want different things. If you have a crush on someone who is much older like 10+ years and you are in totally different moments in life like one wants to enjoy life, travel and party and the other just want to settle  then I see no point in a relationship. If you and your "crush" are well informed of each other intentions and are on it for the same purpose, age is just a number. IMO If you are 16, going out with a 25yo just for sex, sure, go ahead but if you are 16 into a 26y who hasnt showed clearly they have the exact same interest you do, being settling down or just having fun, I see no point in being together at all, some one will always get out of it in disadvantage and waste their time.

When I was 16 & he was 19 it sounded find but now that I'm 17 & he's 21 it sounds terrible

I was 19 and my husband was 23 when we met. My dad is 8 years older than my mom so I think that's why I always dated older guys. We've probably only had one age related issue in the 9 years we've been together.

my boyfriend and i are 4 years apart. its not such a big gap to where we see a lot of things differently (does that make sense? lol) but we are in our twenties. (22 & 26) i dont see any issues or conflict with it.

I had only just turned 17 when I slept with a 24 year old. Perfectly legal where I'm from but why does it matter what other people think as long as it's legal just get on with it.
