Transition to 🐮 or 🐐 milk?
Hi all! My son is now 9 mo of age and I've been exclusively pumping for him since 8 weeks. We cook all his foods and I've been proud of our progress.
Here's the selfish part. I'm tired of my boobs hurting. I'm tired of stopping everything because I have to pump. I'm READY. TO. WEAN. we have enough to last him 11 mo with my frozen milk, and what I will wean.
The argument against milk is for babies who can't process it. If my kid can then I see no issues tbere.
The next argument is cows milk doesn't have as much iron. Well, neither do boobs after 6 mo and he's already on a supplement for iron. He also eats steamed carrots, potatoes, avacados, apples, pears, bananas and cauliflower.
I don't see an issue of transitioning him to antibiotic grassfed cows milk if his body can process it. Mommies, what's your thoughts on when you will transition?
Our kid is following weight/height and all over milestones perfectly. He's happy, sleeps and eats like a champ.
