I need advice!

So I'm 17 weeks and I have an appointment in a couple weeks to find out gender. I have allot of family urging me to leave it a surprise but I've always been the kind of person who likes to be prepared. Based on your experiences should I find out or should I keep it a surprised? Opinions please :)
