Do I need a nursing bra?

FTM here and I had a question about breast feeding necessities. I wear a sports bra every day. Especially being pregnant and will definitely after birth for comfort. I was wondering if everyone gets a nursing bra or if some people feel like they don't actually need it? Getting the last few things before baby is here and want to know if I should add it to my list. Thank you!:)

You can get a nursing bra that acts like a sports bra. And let me tell you, a nursing bra is the best because if you're gonna breast feed. The clasps are genius!

Absolutely, but I would recommend you wait until 3-4 weeks PP to get fitted. I wore a few cheap "sleep" nursing bras until engorgment was passed. A sports bra may be tight or uncomfortable.

I bought a ton and and never used them except during the day I found them to be annoying in the middle of the night with a screaming baby at 3am. It was easier for me to just wear a sports bra and pull a boob out over fussing with a clip. I loved the sports bra nursing bras the most if anything.

I'm 4.5 months pp and still wear mine everyday. They are comfy and much easier to manage than a regular bra.

No. You need a bra with easy boob access and no underwires. I bought a bunch of nursing bras with my first and it was a waste of money. I ended up wearing bralettes most of the time because they're way more comfortable.

Some sports bras may be too tight or too high cut to get your boob out easily.

Size probably has a lot to do with how women decided, but I never got HUGE while breastfeeding so I ditched my nursing bras and would wear camisoles and just whip these suckers out when it was time! I layer with them a lot so they worked when I was out and about too.

I'm large so a nursing bra was essential. A sports bra was fine if I was home, but you can only pull it up to expose the nipple. So I would have to pull the bra and the open the shirt. It was just really awkward.

My sisters all have said and everyone I know days nursing bras are better than regular bras and make nursing easier.
