TTC after miscarriage?

I've been going through a miscarriage this weekend a few days after finding out I was pregnant. How long does it usually take for you body to go back to normal and get your period? Also can we start TTC right away? Thanks in advanced.

Sorry for your loss. I'm going through the same thing. From what I've learned, if it's a very early miscarriage, you can continue TTC right away if you want. Some doctors recommend waiting one cycle though. We are going to resume as soon as possible. Hoping my cycle doesn't get thrown off too much.

My deepest sympathies! I hope you are doing OK  all things considered.. Some women ovulate right away as soon as they're done "bleeding" but as the other person said most doctors prefer you wait at least one cycle. From what I've been told it is hard to keep track of how far along you are if you conceive RIGHT after the miscarriage and there's also a chance you'd body didn't heal completely. I had my miscarriage at 5 weeks as well and bled for exactly 5 days. My period didn't return right away like it was supposed to so I had to get on Provera to help Jumpstart that. Still ttc since then. It's been 3 months for me.
