Can you or can you not take baths while pregnant?

I've heard multiple things. I ask because my nausea is at peak right now and I can't take a shower without gagging. I just took a shower, gagged during it and threw up the second I stepped out.

You can take baths.  Just not super hot ones!  Warm is fine.

I use to have really hot baths and hop out with red skin. Since becoming pregnant I've been having warm baths 😩.  They get colder faster and end up being short soaks but they still help lol. In the shower I get dizzy so I sit down and shower.. Kidna weird but it works for me

Hot baths, no. Warm bath yes, unless your water has broken or a doc says no for some other reason.

Baths are fine as long as they're not super hot. No jacuzzis or hot tubs though. I've been taking baths my entire pregnancy, sometimes 2-3 a day. I'm 37 weeks pregnant and a bath is literally the only thing that makes me feel comfortable. My baby is perfectly healthy. OB said it's fine just don't take one if your water breaks it can lead to infection.

I've heard that baths are fine as long as you don't raise your body temperature.  So if it's hot enough to make your skin turn red or for you to get hot and sweaty, it's too hot.

No hot baths throughout your whole pregnancy. Your not supposed to raise your core body temperature or else you can get hypothermia which can cut off the blood supply to the baby which causes miscarriage. My doctor said no baths over 100 degrees so I bought one of those temperature things that goes over the faucet and tells you the temp of the water. 100 is actually pretty warm so it's still comfortable and nice

I was told to not take real warm baths during first trimester but in second trimester i can take a hot bath as long as belly is above water and i dont get to hot.and not more then 10 minutes if a hot bath.but avoid hot tubs.Thats what my ob told me

I've been wondering that too. I mean I knew hot tubs were a no no but I'm glad to see baths are okay
