Has anyone "stopped trying" and that's what finally did it?

Been TTC for a year and some change. Almost all of my friends where I live (I'm an army wife so I have back home friends and post friends lol) have kids. I ask them how long it took them to have kids bc almost all of them intentionally had kids, no surprise babies. Each one said it didn't happen until they "stopped trying" I was wondering if anyone else out there had that happen? Stopped tracking, stopped testing and just lived normally, and ended up pregnant shortly after?

So, the month I got pregnant I was kind of hoping I wouldn't because it was the same month I got pregnant with my daughter. I stopped tracking everything and now I'm due the day before my daughter's birthday. I've always been a strong believer that everything happens for a reason :) good luck!!

Yep i tried for 11 months and gave up and accepted I'd never get pregnant and three weeks later found out i was pregnant

That's exactly what happened to us. We had been trying for 11 months. My work was stressful and I was just done. When I got my period that 11th month I told my husband I was done and didn't want to try anymore. He was very supportive. 
I quit testing, tracking and didn't even open glow. We only had sex when the mood struck us and I tried to come to terms with maybe never being a mum (I'm 32 and the clock was LOUD). 
Wouldn't you know it, that very month was the one. I got a positive (to my shock) and am now 16 weeks along with a healthy Bub.

Yep! My husband and I tried for a year and a half and nothing worked. We went to three different specialists and they all said the same thing. We were both healthy and we were actually waiting on his last sperm count to come back when we found out we were pregnant. We had just both given up. That prior month, we bought a restaurant and I looked at my husband and said this alone is going to be stressful, let's just stop trying and if it happens, it happens. Our son was 4 at the time. And he said ditto. When we did the deed that month, I got up really quick and went to he bathroom. I didn't have any implantation bleeding with that pregnancy like I did my first. That was on Valentine's Day. About two weeks later, my period never showed, so I took a test and it came up very faintly. So, I took it as another no. Didn't mention anything to my hubby. I called the doctor, they confirmed with blood results that we were in fact pregnant and all we did was kept our minds off of it. Good luck!! Xoxo
