My son is 10 days old now and today he has not been eating regularly for the last say.. eight hours. He was consistently eating at least 2oz formula and 2.5oz of breastmilk (I pump as well) every 2-3 hours. Now it seems he wants nothing to do with the formula (and unfortunately I am not producing much milk right now to give him any, which is the first day I haven't been able to) and I'm having to wake him to eat.

He has spent times during the day being alert, but mostly I must get him up to eat. He is not running a fever or exhibiting any signs of infection.

Any ideas why he isn't hungry or why he is SO sleepy?
