too fat to be pregnant?

Lately I've been down on myself thinking it's hard to TTC because I'm overweight. I'm about 240 pounds and I'm afraid that once I get pregnant I will gain more and be out of control. Anyone else in my position?

Not that I'm condoning being overweight but I was 248 when I got pregnant with my daughter. I'm pretty tall 5'10". But I didn't have any issues or complications!

Usually the doctor will tell you how much weight you should and shouldn't gain. You probably won't have to gain much, just try to eat healthy and balanced. I'm overweight and supposedly only need to gain like 15 lbs. but someone that's "normal" (which BMI is bullshit to me but it's how doctors use it) will need to gain 25 lbs. weight could contribute to not being able to conceive but I know a lot of severely overweight people that conceived (and on accident). So I know it's not impossible.
