My sister and I had our babies 6 months apart. We talked about it and decided that in an emergency, we'd both be okay with the other nursing our baby. Both of them have only ever been breastfed and have never taken bottles, so if something were to happen, they'd have no way to eat unless someone else breastfed them. But I'd only let someone else nurse my daughter in an emergency where she was really hungry and I couldn't get to her. And probably only my sister because I know and trust her and know she's not doing drugs or something that could harm my daughter. However, I'd nurse someone else's baby without a second thought if they needed me to

My daughter was born a month early she was in the nicu and I wasn't producing enough breastmilk at the time .. and they thought that was what she need to grow stronger so signed papers which allowed them to give her breastmilk that was donated to a milk bank for the exact situations

It would take a lot of factors for me to even think about letting another woman breastfeed my child.

I'd have to make sure they weren't ill/on drugs/smoke/clean/trust them/know them etc. .

I'm paranoid.
