What worked for baby sleeping for you or what do you plan to use?

Ok so im a first time mom and trying to decide what to get for baby to sleep in while he is newborn and until he can sleep in his crib in his room. Everyone is telling me their opinion and im trying to do my research and im so torn as to what to listen to! I just want to do whats safe and best! Also one other question that didnt fit in the poll...if you use a pack and play do you use the optional bassinet insert...which im even confused on..is it the thing to the left in this photo? Or is it the thing below the top two attachable pieces? I hope i dont sound like an idiot...i have experience with babies... but not infant sleeping! Thank you!

We used a rock n play next to our bed for 5 months then transitioned her to her crib also next to our bed. We plan on moving her to her own room after the new year, she'll be about 14 months old, as our son will be born in March so he'll be in our room.

Baby will sleep in our room in a larger portable bassinet for first six months or so before transitioning to nursery. We plan to get Chicco Lullago or Graco Travel Lite with Stages.

I had a bassinet for my lil boy in my room for 3 and half months  he's now in his crib

We had a bassinet in our room for the first month, but I woke up to every one of her little grunts, snores, and moans, and she woke up whenever either one of us rolled over. So I put her in her own room (in her crib) and she's been doing 12 hours a night since. 😊

I plan to co sleep and have a little co sleeper that goes in my bed next to me. I also have a rock and play I may use for sleeping. Ran both by my OB and she said they are just fine 👍🏼

We use a pack n play with the bassinet insert. In your picture the items on top are a changer and napper. The bassinet is under these, the full size of the pack n play. This is probably the best bang for your buck unless you start in a crib day one. I would skip using the napper on the pack n play or a rock n okay. Neither are rated or safe for nighttime sleep.

We gave sleeping in her crib I her room a try on night 2.... and it worked, so we stuck w it instead of having to transition her later. We swaddle and after she started rolling are using merlins magic sleep suit. LOVE THE SLEEP SUIT. It is a life saver. We have an angel care movement monitor for peace of mind second hand from a friend. Love that too, it can sense if she's not breathing, but it has gone off when she's just rolled too far off the sensor.

We are going to use a cosleeper for at least the first month or two.  Then the pack and play.  I want her in our room for at least the first six months, maybe year, before I put her in her own room.
