Stroke before pregnancy...
I am having a high risk pregnancy, first baby. When I was 25 (now 29) I had a stroke. I learned to walk again through lost of persistence and hard work for many years.
During my stroke recovery the neurology found a tumor on my pituitary gland called a prolactinoma. A prolactinoma is a hormone secreting tumor that secretes prolactin. This in turn kept me from menstrating and began to lactate. Luckily the tumor has decreased in size with medication. And I am now pregnant and off the medication for now.
I also have a mass cell activation syndrome which causes me to have a build up of histimane.
My question is... Has any here experienced a stroke or TBI before pregnancy? Would love to hear your story. Best of luck to all you!
