Did anyone have the first trimester screening for (downs etc) and how do some of you know what you're having so early? They told me this test wouldn't tell me the gender .. makes me so mad lol that's the only reason I opted to have this done lol

I did the same testing and they find out the gender if you are high risk or over 35 years old. The test for a normal pregnancy is just Down syndrome and two types of trisomy. If you are high risk or over 35 they do more chromosomal testing that includes gender. I think it's more expensive and that's why it isn't part of routine bloodwork.

Ok thanks ladies .. I'm only 30 so I won't have the high risk test...but I had my ultrasound and baby was measuring normal heartbeat was 153!! The little one was so active I'm beyond excited!

No that does tell the gender. It takes up to 7-10 days to get your results back.
